Can I install the FundingPro™ and SettlementPro™ software system(s) on a server?
Yes, the FundingPro™ and SettlementPro™ software system(s) can be networked on a server.  Instructions for this type of software installation are provided in our technical support videos Top

 

How many users can operate the software?
With each software membership, we issue a site software license for up to 5 users.  Top

 

How is technical support handled?
We have an excellent reputation for dependable  technical support service.  We are committed to providing ready and reliable support to our users.  Technical support is free and users can contact our software support team during business hours by phone at (800) 300-0431 ext. 2 or 3 or by email at support@advancedplanningllc.com.  We also have a number of Member technical support videos and online training tutorials available on our Member web sites 24/7.  Top

 
How are new software releases treated?
Because we offer a subscription model, all new software releases are included in your membership at no additional cost.  This our includes real-time monthly updates.

What training do you provide?
We have produced the most comprehensive knowledge base on trust funding available anywhere.  Our 25+ technical legal training bulletins and office procedure guides are excellent tools for paralegal and attorney education.  We also offer online training videos on software usage and operation for training at your pace and convenience.  Our online legal support "help desk" provides guidance on custom client situations.  We welcome the opportunity to advise you on building successful and effective trust funding and settlement services in your firm.  Top

 

How often is the software updated?
The FundingPro™ and SettlementPro™ software systems are updated each month with current forms, improvements, and bug fixes.  These updates help to keep our software current and cutting-edge.   These updates are provided to you at no additional charge.  Top

 

Do I download the software from the web or do you ship it on CD?
Because we issue monthly updates to the software systems, we provide installation files for all Members on our Member web sites.  Members have access 24/7.  Software is not shipped on CD.  Top

 

How secure is my client information and how is it stored?
Client security is of paramount importance.  You are always in control of your client information.  Operating our software systems does not involve sending any client data or confidential information.  Client information is always stored on your local computers and is completely controlled by the Member at all times.  Client information is not accessed anywhere online or via the Internet.  Your firm has sole access to your client's confidential information.  Top

 

Do I need HotDocs® to operating FundingPro™ or SettlementPro™?
Yes, you need to have HotDocs® Standard Edition with PDF Advantage (recommended) or Professional Edition with PDF Advantage to operate the FundingPro™ and SettlementPro™ software systems.  FundingPro™ and SettlementPro™ use the HotDocs® software as its engine.  (Note: HotDocs® Player is not compatible with FundingPro™ and SettlementPro™.)  The vast majority of our users operate the standard edition of HotDocs®.  HotDocs® Professional is typically used by software developers when creating their own HotDocs® templates from scratch and is not necessary for the average user.  We do not include HotDocs® in the Member subscription as many of our members already possess the software in their law firms. What version of HotDocs® do I need?
FundingPro™ and SettlementPro™ operate on HotDocs® version 2006 or higher (HotDocs® Player not compatible).  Your version of HotDocs® should match to your Windows operating system and version of Microsoft® Word.  Check the system requirements on the HotDocs® web site for further assistance or contact HotDocs® technical support if you have questions at (800) 828-8328.  Top
 

 

Do you sell the HotDocs® software?
No.  Many of our members already own the HotDocs® software in their law firms because they use it for other applications.  Those Members do not wish to pay for HotDocs® twice.  Accordingly, we have arranged for Members to purchase HotDocs® licenses and upgrades at a discount from our HotDocs® sales associate.  We recommend you purchase HotDocs® from our recommended HotDocs® sales associate as he provides services not available through ordinary channels. Can I operate FundingPro™ and SettlementPro™ on a Mac?
HotDocs® does not support operating it on a Mac since they do not develop or test in the Mac environment.  We have, however, a small number of devoted Mac users who report operating the FundingPro™ and SettlementPro™ successfully using VMware's Fusion software, along with Microsoft® Windows and Word.  In recognition of this growing community, we can connect members to a email list with the specific goal of facilitating Mac users' communications with one another.  Please contact us if you would like to be put in touch with other Mac users via the Mac Listserve.  Please note that technical issues involving operating FundingPro™ or SettlementPro™ on a Mac or any other Mac-specific matter cannot be supported by the software support team.  Top

 

Are FundingPro™ and SettlementPro™ compatible with WordPerfect®?
No.  FundingPro™ and SettlementPro™ are compatible only with Microsoft® Word.  Top

Microsoft® Word 97 or higher (not compatible with WordPerfect®)
